Dragons Teeth Clan Group 5

Well, all my gargoyle OC's are from the same clan... so I decided to put them together in group shots and write their clans bio. So here goes nothing

Name: Dragons Teeth Clan

Number of members: 70 Members, approximately 35 eggs in the rookery

Location: Within the Bermuda Triangle, not an island per-say but an area of massive stone spires jutting out from the sea. Many of the spires are over 200 feet tall and none of them truly offer a place to rest or roost. The biggest spire in the area possess a hollow opening and that is the location of the rookery.

Clan Traits: Abnormally large wings with varying numbers of sharp claws are standard for all members; feathery wings are by far the rarest trait within the clan. Many members possess serpentine bodies and have decorative and elaborate crests and horns.

Background: Although it's hard to determine exactly when this clan was formed, evidence points to it being at least 300 years old. According to the stories that have been passed down verbally through the clan many of its founding members were refugee's from other smaller clans on the mainland. During a time of great unrest, a great many gargoyles had no choice but to flee into the ocean. It was by sheer luck that the survivors happened across an area with massive stone spires and coral beds that jutted out from the sea. With nowhere left to go the clan chose to settle in this harsh area that they named the Dragons Teeth, essentially right in the middle of the ocean.

Description: This clan is a particularly diverse and unique clan. Their primary diet consists of seabirds and fish. Due to the area that these gargoyles inhabit they have evolved a unique trait of abnormally large wings. Since this clan is essentially airborne 90 percent of the time, the larger wings help to cope with this. They also use these large wings to help when swimming and they are in fact amazing swimmers capable of holding their breath for nearly a half hour at a time.

Since there are almost no places to stand when roosting, the members of this clan have to dig their claws into the rock outcroppings and hold on. Those with serpentine bodies need to curl around the spires... This actually has an added benefit of camouflage, as when ships pass by they are completely unaware of the clans presence.

This clan has virtually no interactions with humans, in fact the only time they deal with humans is when some unfortunate souls crash their boats on the rocks... at which the clan proceeds to scavenge whatever they can from the wreck...
